A TASTE OF PASSION.
Since I was a young boy, I have had a passion for cooking. At the age of thirteen, I had my first job at a local sub shop in East Dearborn. I started off as a prep boy in the back of the kitchen and slowly worked my way to the grill. Once I was on the grill, I felt like it is where I belonged.
In 2005, the family acquired a Sub shop where I ran and managed it for 8 years. After some time, I helped a friend open a sub shop where I was able to learn the business side of running a restaurant. That is when my dream became a tangible goal – I want to own a sub shop!
One of the biggest joys in my life is making food for friends and family. From smoking briskets and hosting barbecues to making sandwiches on my flat top grill, it was time for my dream to become a reality. My business partner Mohammed Ali (who is also my nephew), had just finished college and was ready to take on the world. So, I popped the magic question; Would you like to own your own restaurant? Fast forward a few weeks: a lease was signed, and the work began to open Bulldogs Cheesesteaks.

Bulldogs carries a wide variety of subs, ranging from your classic cheesesteak, to burger style subs, to vegetarian “beyond meat” options.

Bulldogs Cheesesteaks is a family owned and operated establishment. I have the privilege of working alongside my nephew and brother-in-law Sam who are both Managing Partners. Without them, I would not have been able to bring the vision of Bulldogs to life.
